What inspires your work?
Kaua‘i! Everything I do kind of revolves around the island. I am always in and out of the ocean, surfing and diving. When I create bridal looks, I try to keep things flowy and breathable. I really love bringing that effortless beauty into the hair and makeup I do for my brides.
Do you experience island fever?
Nope! When I need a dose of creative energy, I take classes to improve my craft and get inspired. I’ve attended trainings with Priscilla Ono (Rihanna’s key makeup artist) and international masterclasses with Kristina Gasperas, Kasia Fortuna, and hair styling demos with Steph Brinkerhoff.
What is your signature style?
If casual and flawless had a baby, that’s the aesthetic I go for. I’m super active and a total Libra, which basically means I lean into a high-maintenance to look low-maintenance style. Think: kissable lip combos and cheeks naturally flushed and glowing from a mix of highlighter and the hike you just went on.
Beauty product you can’t live without?
Bronzer!! (I’m a millennial, duh) And lip gloss—paired with a bikini that matches my pareo (sarong).
